Rules and Guidelines

• Participants must be between the ages of 9 and 15
• To participate, persons must submit a video stating why they want to become an optometrist
• Video submission must not exceed 3 minutes
• Instagram participants must tag us in the video comment, @ferreiraoptical and use the hashtag #OPTOM4ADAY
• Facebook participants must use the hashtag #OPTOM4ADAY
• Instagram and Facebook participants must make their accounts public for the period of the competition
• Participants will have until noon Friday 29th  July to post entries
• Winner selection is based on a review by an internal team from Ferreira Optical and assessed using the criteria set
• The name of the winners will be posted on both Facebook an Instagram pages by noon Saturday 30th July
• The winners must be available for two days of filming during the periods
• Tuesday 2^nd August – Wednesday 3^rd August
• Thursday 4^th August – Friday 5^th August
• If the winner is not available for filming based on the aforementioned dates another winner will be selected
• By entering this competition, consent is given to use of the winner’s name or image in any list of winners and for the promotional purposes in social media without further payment or consideration
• The winners must have a valid prescription. If the prescription needs to be updated it will be at the expense of the winner
• If winners do not need prescription eyewear they are entitled to a pair of polarized sunglasses
• Prizes of free eyewear with lenses cannot be converted into monetary compensation
• All submissions are final. No changes or submissions are allowed once your entry is received
• Video submission must not contain any lewd or pornographic material or language
• Winners of previous Ferreira Optical social media completions are not eligible to participate
• Employees and immediate family member of staff of Ferreira Optical are not eligible to enter
